I) CHRONOLOGY FROM ADAM TO ABRAM
A) [Gen 5:1-32 NASB]:
1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God.
2 He created them male and female, and He blessed them and named them Man in the day when they were created.
3 When Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he became the father of a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth.
[130 years from Adam to Seth]
4 Then the days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years, and he had other sons and daughters.
[Note that Seth was not the firstborn of Adam but the chronology is established by the date of Seth's birth 130 years after Adam was born. Furthermore, the child does not have to be firstborn so long as the timespan from the birth of the father to the birth of the particular child is stipulated with no gaps indicated in the chronology]
5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.
[130 from Adam to Seth + 800 thereafter = 930 years chronologically]
6 Seth lived one hundred and five years, and became the father of Enosh.
[130 from Adam to Seth + 105 years from Seth until Enosh is born in strict chronological order time span]
7 Then Seth lived eight hundred and seven years after he became the father of Enosh, and he had other sons and daughters.
8 So all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.
[Note Seth lived 105 years until Enosh then Seth lived 807 more years thereafter for a total of 912. The figures are indeed chronological and corroborated!!! - The chronological order being established through the next generation at the birth of the particular son stipulated]
9 Enosh lived ninety years, and became the father of Kenan.
[So 130 years Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 years to Kenan which is in strict chronological order from Adam until the birth of Kenan]
10 Then Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years after he became the father of Kenan, and he had other sons and daughters.
11 So all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, and he died.
[90 + 815 = 905 years as it stipulates above for Enosh]
12 Kenan lived seventy years, and became the father of Mahalalel.
[Now we have 130 years Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel]
13
Then Kenan lived eight hundred and forty years after he became the
father of Mahalalel, and he had other sons and daughters.
14 So all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.
[70 + 840 = 910 as stipulated total years for Kenan]
15 Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and became the father of Jared.
[Now we have 130 years Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared]
16 Then Mahalalel lived eight hundred and thirty years after he became the father of Jared, and he had other sons and daughters.
17 So all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died.
[65 + 830 = 895 as stipulated]
18 Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and became the father of Enoch.
[Now we have 130 years Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch]
19 Then Jared lived eight hundred years after he became the father of Enoch, and he had other sons and daughters.
20 So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.
[162 + 800 = 962 year total lifespan as stipulated]
21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and became the father of Methuselah.
[Now we have 130 years Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch +65 to Methuselah]
22 Then Enoch walked with God three hundred years after he became the father of Methuselah, and he had other sons and daughters.
23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.
[65 + 300 = 365 total lifespan]
24 Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
25 Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and became the father of Lamech.
[Now we have 130 years Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch +65 to Methuselah 187 to Lamech]
26 Then Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years after he became the father of Lamech, and he had other sons and daughters.
27 So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.
[187 + 782 = 969 total lifespan]
28 Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and became the father of a son.
29 Now he called his name Noah, saying, "This one will give us rest from our work and from the toil of our hands arising from the ground which the LORD has cursed."
[Now we have 130 years Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch +65 to Methuselah + 187 to Lamech + 182 to Noah]
30 Then Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years after he became the father of Noah, and he had other sons and daughters.
31 So all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died.
[182 + 595 = 777 total lifespan]
32 Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
[Now we have 130 years Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch +65 to Methuselah + 187 to Lamech + 182 to Noah + 500 to Shem, Ham and Japheth]
B) [Genesis 11:10-32 NASB]:
10 These are the records of the generations of Shem. Shem was one hundred years old, and became the father of Arpachshad two years after the flood;
[Now we have 130 years Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch +65 to Methuselah + 187 to Lamech + 182 to Noah + 500 to Shem + 100 to Arpachshad TWO YEARS AFTER THE FLOOD!!! = 1656 years with some variance for a number of months in each year stipulated for numbers of years which are not each necessarily precisely 12 months. So the flood took place approximately 1654 years after Adam was created]
11 and Shem lived five hundred years after he became the father of Arpachshad, and he had other sons and daughters.
[100 + 500 = 600 total lifespan]
12 Arpachshad lived thirty-five years, and became the father of Shelah;
[Now we have 130 years Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch + 65 to Methuselah + 187 to Lamech + 182 to Noah + 500 to Shem + 100 to Arpachshad + 35 years to Shelah]
13 and Arpachshad lived four hundred and three years after he became the father of Shelah, and he had other sons and daughters.
[35 + 403 = 438 total lifespan]
14 Shelah lived thirty years, and became the father of Eber;
[Now we have 130 years Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch +65 to Methuselah + 187 to Lamech + 182 to Noah + 500 to Shem + 100 to Arpachshad + 35 years to Shelah + 30 years to Eber]
15 and Shelah lived four hundred and three years after he became the father of Eber, and he had other sons and daughters.
[30 + 403 = 433 total lifespan]
16 Eber lived thirty-four years, and became the father of Peleg;
[Now we have 130 years from Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch +65 to Methuselah + 187 to Lamech + 182 to Noah + 500 to Shem + 100 to Arpachshad + 35 years to Shelah + 30 to Eber + 34 to Peleg]
17 and Eber lived four hundred and thirty years after he became the father of Peleg, and he had other sons and daughters.
[34 + 430 = 464 total lifespan]
18 Peleg lived thirty years, and became the father of Reu;
[Now we have 130 years from Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch +65 to Methuselah + 187 to Lamech + 182 to Noah + 500 to Shem + 100 to Arpachshad + 35 years to Shelah + 30 to Eber + 34 to Peleg + 30 to Reu]
19 and Peleg lived two hundred and nine years after he became the father of Reu, and he had other sons and daughters.
[30 + 209 = 239 total lifespan]
20 Reu lived thirty-two years, and became the father of Serug;
[Now we have 130 years from Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch +65 to Methuselah + 187 to Lamech + 182 to Noah + 500 to Shem + 100 to Arpachshad + 35 years to Shelah + 30 to Eber + 34 to Peleg + 32 to Serug]
21 and Reu lived two hundred and seven years after he became the father of Serug, and he had other sons and daughters.
[32 + 207 = 239 total lifespan]
22 Serug lived thirty years, and became the father of Nahor;
[Now we have 130 years from Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch +65 to Methuselah + 187 to Lamech + 182 to Noah + 500 to Shem + 100 to Arpachshad + 35 years to Shelah + 30 to Eber + 34 to Peleg + 32 to Serug + 30 to Nahor]
23 and Serug lived two hundred years after he became the father of Nahor, and he had other sons and daughters.
[30 + 200 = 230 total lifespan]
24 Nahor lived twenty-nine years, and became the father of Terah;
[Now we have 130 years from Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch +65 to Methuselah + 187 to Lamech + 182 to Noah + 500 to Shem + 100 to Arpachshad + 35 years to Shelah + 30 to Eber + 34 to Peleg + 32 to Serug + 30 to Nahor + 29 to Terah]
25 and Nahor lived one hundred and nineteen years after he became the father of Terah, and he had other sons and daughters.
[29 + 119 = 148 total lifespan]
26 Terah lived seventy years, and became the father of Abram, Nahor and Haran.
[Now we have 130 years from Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch +65 to Methuselah + 187 to Lamech + 182 to Noah + 500 to Shem + 100 to Arpachshad + 35 years to Shelah + 30 to Eber + 34 to Peleg + 32 to Serug + 30 to Nahor + 29 to Terah + 70 to Abram, Nahor and Haran]
Note that Abram lived 100 years and became the father of Isaac:
27 Now these are the records of the generations of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor and Haran; and Haran became the father of Lot.
28 Haran died in the presence of his father Terah in the land of his birth, in Ur of the Chaldeans.
29 Abram and Nahor took wives for themselves. The name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife was Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah and Iscah.
30 Sarai was barren; she had no child.
31 Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife; and they went out together from Ur of the Chaldeans in order to enter the land of Canaan; and they went as far as Haran, and settled there.
32 The days of Terah were two hundred and five years; and Terah died in Haran.
[Now we have 130 years from Adam to Seth + 105 to Enosh + 90 to Kenan + 70 years to Mahalalel + 65 to Jared + 162 to Enoch +65 to Methuselah + 187 to Lamech + 182 to Noah + 500 to Shem + 100 to Arpachshad + 35 years to Shelah + 30 to Eber + 34 to Peleg + 32 to Serug + 30 to Nahor + 29 to Terah + 70 to Abram, Nahor and Haran = 1946 years from Adam to the Birth of Abram which provides a plausible period of 2,000 years for this period which fits in with the plausible period of 2,000 years for the next period of the time beginning with Abram / Abraham and ending with the descendants of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob - Israel under the Law of Moses and the next period of 2000 beginning when Christ ascended and the Church Age began in approximately 28-32 AD which approaches 2000 years now in this year of 2022]
II) CHRONOLOGY FROM ABRAM'S DEPARTURE FROM HARAN TO MOSES INTRODUCING THE LAW AT MT SINAI
A) [Genesis 12:1-4 NASB]:
1 Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father's house, To the land which I will show you;
2 And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing;
3
And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will
curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed."
4 So Abram went forth as the LORD had spoken to him; and Lot went with him. Now Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.
[So 1946 years from Adam to the Birth of Abram + 75 years to the time Abram departed from Haran = 2021 years from Adam until the time that Abram left for the promised land]
B) [Genesis 21:1-5 NASB]:
1 Then the LORD took note of Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had promised.
2 So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the appointed time of which God had spoken to him.
3 Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.
4 Then Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him.
5 Now Abraham was one hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.
[So 1946 years from Adam to the Birth of Abram + 100 years to the time Isaac was born to him = 2046 years to the time Isaac was born]
C) [Genesis 25:21-26 NASB]:
21 Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD answered him and Rebekah his wife conceived.
22
But the children struggled together within her; and she said, "If it is
so, why then am I this way?" So she went to inquire of the LORD.
23
The LORD said to her, "Two nations are in your womb; And two peoples
will be separated from your body; And one people shall be stronger than
the other; And the older shall serve the younger."
24 When her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
25 Now the first came forth red, all over like a hairy garment; and they named him Esau.
26 Afterward his brother came forth with his hand holding on to Esau's heel, so his name was called Jacob; and Isaac was sixty years old when she gave birth to them.
[So 1946 years from Adam to the Birth of Abram + 100 years to the time Isaac was born to + 60 years to when Jacob was born = 2106]
D) [430 Years From Abram's Departure To Moses Presenting The Law]:
(Gal 3:16 NKJV) "Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, 'And to seeds,' as of many, but as of one, 'And to your Seed,' Who is Christ.
(Gal 3:17 NKJV) And this I say, that the Law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect."
(Gen 15:13 NKJV) Then He [the LORD] said to Abram: 'Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years."
(Ex 12:40 translated from the Septuagint Greek and the Samaritan Pentateuch texts) "And the sojourning of the children of Israel, while they sojourned in the land of Egypt and the land of Chanaan, was four hundred and thirty years.
(Ex 12:41 translated from the Septuagint Greek and the Samaritan Pentateuch texts) And it came to pass after the four hundred and thirty years, all the forces of the LORD came forth out of the land of Egypt by night."
So The Time From Abraham's Call By The LORD To Leave His Country For The Promised Land Until Abraham's Descendants' Sojourn into Egypt From Canaan Was 215 Years. This Period Was Part Of The 430 Years Of Abram's Descendants' Sojourn In Canaan And Egypt Referred To In Exodus 12:40-41 - Most Accurately Accounted For In The Septuagint & Samaritan Pentateuch Versions. Furthermore, 400 of the 430 Years Were The Years Of Affliction Of Abraham's Descendants Beginning In Canaan At Ishmael's Scoffing At Isaac And Ishmael's Consequent Banishment From Abram's Family. The Period Of 400 Years Ended With Moses And The Exodus Of Israel From Egypt Followed Immediately By God's Giving Of The Law To Moses And Israel
[So 1946 years from Adam to the Birth of Abram + 75 years to the time Abram left Haran + 430 years to the time Moses administered the Law to Israel = 2451 years]
III) [480 Years From The Exodus To When Solomon's Temple Began To Be Built]:
(1 Kgs 6:1 NASB) "Now it came about in the four hundred and eightieth [480th] year after the sons of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD."
After the Exodus the following chronology occurred leading up to when Solomon's Temple began to be built, which leaves some gaps in time to add up to the 480 years stipulated in 1 Kgs 6:1:
Moses remained in the desert or wilderness 40 years.
Joshua and Othniel ruled 40 years.
Ehud, 80 years.
Deborah, 40 years.
Gideon, 40 years.
Abimelech, 3 years.
Tola, 23 years.
Jair, 22 years.
Then they were without a ruler for an unknown duration until the 18th year of Jephthah
Jephthah, 6 years.
Ibzan, 7 years.
Elon, 10 years.
Abdon, 8 years.
Sampson, 20 years.
Heli, judge and priest, 4 years.
Samuel and Saul reigned 40 years.
David was king 40 years.
Solomon then became King and in the 4th year of his reign, he began to build the Temple according to 1 Kgs 6:1
~417 years + times not stipulated when Israel was not under a king & months not indicated
So it is stipulated in 1 Kings 6:1 that 480 years after the Exodus, Solomon, in the 4th year of his reign, began to build the Temple of the LORDSo 480 years after the Exodus, Solomon began to build the house of the LORD
[So 1946 years from Adam to the Birth of Abram + 75 years to the time Abram left Haran + 430 years to the time of the Exodus when Moses administered the Law to Israel + 480 years to when Solomon began to build the house of the LORD - the Temple = 2931 years]
A) [Approximately 419 Years From The Beginning Of The Building Of Solomon's Temple Through The Babylonian Captivity]:From the beginning of building of Solomon's temple through the 70 year captivity of Babylon, are approximately 419 years:
Solomon reigned yet 36 years from the beginning of the building of the Temple.
Rehoboam, 17 years.
Abija, 3 years.
Asa, 41 years.
Jehoshaphat, 25 years.
Jehoram, 8 years.
Ahaziah, 1 year.
Athaliah, the queen, 7 years.
Joash, 40 years.
Amaziah, 29 years.
Uzziah, 52 years.
Jehoahaz, 16 years.
Ahaz, 16 years.
Hezekiah, 29 years.
Manasses, 55 years.
Amon, 2 years.
Josiah, 31 years.
Jeoaz, 3 months.
Eliakim, 11 years.
Jehoiachin, Jechonias, 3 months.
Then began the captivity of Babylon which lasted 70 years.
Artaxerxes Longimanus, King of Babylon issued a decree in 445 B.C. to rebuild Jerusalem.
The children of Israel were delivered the
first year of Cyrus. After that Darius had reigned 20 years, Nehemiah
was restored to liberty, and went to build the city, which was finished
in the 32nd year of the said Darius. All the years from the building of
the temple again, are 26 years.
The whole sum of years amount to 70,
The sum of these years is approximately 419 years + 70 years captivity = approx 489 years
[So 1946 years from Adam to the Birth of Abram + 75 years to the time Abram left Haran + 430 years to the time of the Exodus when Moses administered the Law to Israel + 480 years to when Solomon began to build the house of the LORD - the Temple + 419 years from the beginning of building of Solomon's temple through a number of rulers plus the 70 year Babylonian captivity = 3420 years. Thereafter according to Dan 9:24-27 examined below, 483 years will have transpired from the time the Jews from the Babylonian captivity when they were given permission to restore Jerusalem to the time when Jesus Christ is crucified - His crucifixion marking the temporary cessation of the time of Abraham / Isaac / Jacob / Israel and the beginning of the age of the church; all of which totals nearly 4000 years - less 7 years for the Tribulation period: approximately 2000 years from Adam to Abram, followed by approximately 2000 years less about 7 years to when the church age commenced; the latter which may also take approximately 2000 years from the point of about 32 AD as indicated in Dan 9:24-27 below when Jesus Christ was cut off / crucified and He went to heaven for a season, (Acts 3 ). Whereupon the church age might continue to perhaps 2032; whereupon will occur the rapture of the church , and then the beginning of the 7 year tribulation period which the latter will comprise the final 7 years of the age of Abraham - Isaac - Jacob - Israel in which it is evident that temple worship once more will be taking place; and a generation of Israel once more will have a chance to be God's chosen people and will fulfill the New Covenant between God and the House of Israel and the House of Judah when all of a generation of Israel will choose to believe in Jesus Christ as He arrives on earth in His Second Coming to begin His Rule with the transformed people of Israel of that generation to corule with Christ over the Gentile nations . And we who comprise the church will come with Christ in His Second Coming and corule with Him as He rules over all creation]
B) 490 Years From The Issuing Of A Decree To Restore And Rebuild Jerusalem To The Time Of The Messiah The Prince Jesus Christ Is Crucified To Take Away Mankind's Sins (= 483 years leaves 7 years for the Tribulation Period) And Then To Christ's Second Coming After The Tribulation PeriodTo Begin His Kingdom Rule Which Jumps Over The Age Of The Church In Time To Complete the 490 Years]:
1) [Dan 9:24-27]:
[Details provided on this to further corroborate statements made below ]:
(Dan 9:24 NASB) "Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place.
["seventy
sevens" refers to 70 x 7 or 490 years to finish [the] transgression, to make an end to sins - Israel to turn to God and all that particular generation of Israel YET FUTURE be
saved unto eternal life at the Second Coming of Christ at the end of these 490 years. This will be at the end of the 70th week when
all Israelites of that end time period will atone for their personal sins; to bring in everlasting righteousness which refers to the causing to come in by God of a period of rule
of everlasting righteousness, i.e., Christ's millennial Kingdom rule. This can only refer to that period of time
in history beginning with the millennium to begin when Christ comes again. The phrase rendered "to seal up" means to fulfill "vision and prophecy" in Scripture.
All visions and prophecies in Scripture will be sealed, i.e. fulfilled and
completed and thereby sealed up as completed, no longer applicable for
fulfillment. The phrase rendered "to anoint" has in view the enthronement of "the Most Holy," the Messiah, the
Lord Jesus Christ as King of kings and Lord of Lords. This will occur
beginning at the period of Christ's millennial rule when He comes again right after the 7 year tribulation period.]
(Dan 9:25 NASB) "So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress.
[Artxerxes Longimanus, king of Babylon, issued a decree to permit Nehemiah to rebuild Jerusalem on the Jewish calendar month and day of Nisan 1, 445 B.C., (Mar 14). This 7 weeks + 62 week period of 483 years ended at the execution / the crucifixion of the Messiah. Note that the final 7 years adding to the 490 year 70 week period will commence just after the church age ends and that 7 year perod of desolation will end at the beginning of the millennial rule of the Kingdom of God when Christ comes again - 2,000 years later. So the period of 70 weeks began at the time when king Artxerxes issued the specific decree to rebuild Jerusalem in 445 B.C. All other decrees do not so specify a rebuilding of Jerusalem especially with plaza and moat, and thereby do not fit Dan 9:24-27]
(Dan 9:26 NASB) Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.
[After seven weeks and then sixty-two weeks transpired, bringing history to the 1st century: Sunday, April 6, 32 A.D, the Messiah, the anointed one, Jesus Christ presented Himself as the Christ. He was executed as a criminal a few days later but not for something He did Himself. For the Messiah Jesus Christ, (Christ = "Anointed One"), died for our sins, (1 Jn 2:2), not for anything He did Himself. It was at the end of the seven weeks and then sixty-two weeks, a period of 483 years which began when Nehemiah received the decree from Artaxerxes to rebuild Jerusalem on Nissan 1, 445 B.C; our Lord presented Himself as Messiah exactly 173,880 days later when He rode into Jerusalem on a young donkey - Sunday, April 6, 32 A.D., (Mt 21:1-11). Shortly thereafter, the text says: "After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off..." So after this presentation of Himself as Ruler on Palm Sunday April 6, 32 A.D., the Lord Jesus Christ, the "Anointed One" was crucified as a criminal as the prophecy in Daniel predicted. But then verse 26 jumps forward to the time of the end of the 2000 year Church Age to the end of the age of the Gentiles which is yet future which will come like a flood climaxing with maximum war and our Lord's Second Coming to end this]
(Dan 9:27 NASB) "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."
[Daniel prophesies that "The end" (when the Anointed One Jesus Christ returns) will come in 490 Jewish calendar years, (Dan 9:24). According to history only 483 years have passed from the month of Nisan, (March-April) 445 B.C. when Nehemiah was given a decree by Persian ruler Artaxerxes to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem to the 10th of Nisan, (April 6), A.D. 32, ("Palm Sunday"). April 6th, A.D. 32 was the time of Passover when the Anointed One, Jesus Christ officially offered Himself as and was rejected as the Messiah by Israel, (Mt 21:1-11). At that time He was "cut off", i.e. crucified, (the punishment a criminal would receive). This temporarily suspended the ticking away of this 490 year prophecy - interrupted by 2000 years of church age.
There are therefore seven years to go in this 490 year period before our Lord's Return. This is a 490 year period which is a period especially marked by the Mosaic Law rule of life including temple worship - all exclusively focused on the nation Israel - the church not at all being involved in this future 7 year period. He [the Antichrist] will confirm a covenant with many [Israel] for one 'seven' [Heb. "shabuwa' literally "seven-period"]. In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple, he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.
So Dan 9:24 will be fulfilled after 69 weeks of years = 483 years + THEN the intercalation of the Church Age of approximately 2000 years AND THEN the finishing up with the 70th week of years, i.e., the last 7 years of the 490 year timespan immediately following which seven year period will be capped off by Christ's Second Coming to save the world from complete destruction and to rule with everlasting righteousness:
(Dan 9:24 NASB) "Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place."
["seventy sevens" refers to 70 x 7 or 490 years to finish [the] transgression, to make an end to sins - Israel to turn to God and be saved at the second coming of Christ at the end of these 490 years; at the end of the 70th week when all Israelites - that generation - of that end time period will atone for their personal sins - fulfillment of the New Covenant exclusively with the House of Judah and the House of Israel [church excluded as a party - cp Jer 31:31-34]; to bring in everlasting righteousness which refers to the causing to come in by God of a period of rule of everlasting righteousness. This can only refer to that period of time in history beginning with the millennium rule on into eternity future; "to seal up" means to fulfill "vision and prophecy" in Scripture. All visions and prophecies in Scripture will be sealed, i.e. fulfilled and completed and thereby sealed up as completed, no longer applicable for fulfillment; the phrase "to anoint" means an enthronement of "the Most Holy," the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords. This will occur beginning at the period of Christ's millennial rule.][So we have 1946 years from Adam to the Birth of Abram + 75 years to the time Abram left Haran + 430 years to the time of the Exodus when Moses administered the Law to Israel + 480 years to when Solomon began to build the house of the LORD - the Temple + approximately 419 years from the beginning of the building of Solomon's temple through a number of rulers plus the 70 year Babylonian captivity = 3420 years to this point. Now as indicated in Dan chapter 9, we have 490 years from the Edict to rebuild Jerusalem to Christ's Second Coming (which includes the last 7 years of the Jewish / Mosaic Law period which immediately follows the intercalation of the church age begun in the first century around 32AD which so far is nearly 2000 years of interruption of the Jewish / Mosaic Law period begun in the first century = a grand total of approximately 5910 years with allowance for a number of minor gaps due to times of duration being rounded out to years, the number of months not being specifically stipulated and gaps in rulership where years are not stipulated for these periods, etc.
So it looks like we are all recent relatives of Adam and Eve. So far a time of about 2,000 years has transpired with Gentiles in view from Adam through the worldwide flood to the birth of Abram. Thereafter, we have transpired about 2,000 years short by 7 years to finish the age with Jews in view, from the birth of Abram / Abraham followed by his descendants which comprise Israel the chosen people of God, beginning with the period of the patriarchs followed by the Mosaic Law period - 7 years yet to be fulfilled when the time comes. Thereafter and so far today in 2022 we have nearly 2,000 years short by approximately 10 years to finish the age of that particular group of people called the Church, the body of Christ, consisting of both Jew and Gentile begun shortly after Christ's death on the cross about 32 AD. This intercalation period of the church started around 32 AD has continued for nearly 2,000 years to be abruptly ended with the Rapture - the catching away of the entire body of Christ both dead and alive, to be transformed into perfect resurrection bodies to go back to heaven with Him to await the time of His Second Coming to go with Him as He begins His millennial / eternal rule. And at the departure of the Church from the planet there will resume the last 7 years of the Mosaic Law / Jewish period - temple worship / sacrifice Law of Moses, et. al. It will be a period of unsurpassed war, desolations, destruction poured out upon all of mankind which will be abruptly ended by Jesus Christ at His Second Coming with the saints of the Church to the earth to begin the restoration / fulfillment of all things. Time is short, so stay busy focusing on doing the work of the Lord until it is time to be caught up into heaven!
