I took a quick listen / look at the Youtube entitled "Salvation is total surrender" by Steven Furtick and immediately discovered at this time that this man does not have the correct message of the gospel of salvation unto eternal life according to God's Word . For example, the Bible says in Eph 2:8-9, "For by grace, you have been saved [perfect participle + present tense paraphrastic verb indicating completed ongoing salvation unto eternal life unto the heavenlies (i.e., unto eternal life in heaven, ref. Eph 2:6) through faith and that [salvation, neuter gender refers to salvation] is not of yourself, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one may boast." There is no indication here or anywhere in Scripture of the concept of surrendering to God in order to be saved unto eternal life. The concepts of grace = unmerited favor; faith alone = a moment of faith because it only takes a moment of time to receive salvation because the verb is a perfect, point in time participle = "you have been saved" with nothing else stipulated; "not of yourself," [= no human doing of any kind such as surrendering; gift which is free - no payment / response required of one to receive it; "not by works," = no human doing; "so that no one may boast;" = you cannot boast about receiving something when you haven't done anything to get it. Each and every one of these points cancels out ANY HUMAN DOING. according to Ephesians 2:8-9 and everywhere in the Bible that the subject is addressed - especially surrendering. Dozens of passages throughout the Bible corroborate that salvation unto eternal life is via a moment of faith alone in Christ alone + nothing else
