DIFFERENT CROSSINGS

BY MARY

We used to be friends

I was your friend, you were mine

Then things grew apart

Nothing ever seemed fine

We hung out less

Something grew, a dark cloud

We were just too different

So I chose I different crowd

Things happen for a reason

This is what I think is true

That’s the only reason why

I like never talk to you

I don’t hate you

But I know you’ll understand

If you ever need any help

I will give you a helping hand

I’m not mad at you

But it still reminds me

That cold, dark day

But that faint memory

I don’t want to sit down

And always feel sorry for you

I want to go on with my life

And I want you to, too.
